dr. laura viner is a clinical psychologist and tenured associate professor
of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at northwestern university medical
school. for over 25 years, dr. viner has done clinical research, teaching of
psychology and psychiatry students, and assessment and clinical treatment of
individuals, families and groups with adults, adolescents, and children. she
has published over 50 scholarly articles in scientific journals and books,
has published over 50 scholarly articles in scientific journals and books,
including her recent popular psychology book on psychoneuroimmunology, the
joy formula for health and beauty. dr. viner also gives scientific
presentations to professional audiences around the country.
prior to yellowbrick, dr. viner was senior staff psychologist at the
family institute at northwestern university where she also developed and
directed a program for inner city children and their families to prevent
violence and antisocial behavior. earlier at northwestern, dr. viner was
director of the outpatient eating disorders program.
